I. Position Available: One full-time faculty position as an assistant professor or higher.
II. Scheduled Start Date: February 1, 2026 or August 1, 2026 (depending on the required admin-istrative paperwork).
III. Application Deadline: Oct 31, 2025 (based on postmark date).
IV. Qualifications:
1. Academic Degree: Ph.D. in Materials Science or related field from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan). Doctoral can-didates who have not yet obtained their degree will not be considered.
2. Specializations: Academic expertise in nanotechnology, energy, optoelectronic materials or semiconductor related fields.
3. Experiences: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant research, teaching, or industry experience.
4. Appendix Publications: At least two academic journal articles (published or accepted) with full-text peer review systems, published since 2020 in reputable domestic or international journals. (Proof of acceptance is required for articles not yet published.)
5. Teaching Capability: Ability to teach in both Mandarin and English, with the obligation to offer at least one full English or EMI (English-medium instruction) course per semester.
V. Application materials:
1. Please complete the three forms: Basic Information Form for Faculty Ap-plication – NUTN, Academic Summary Form, and Notification and Let-ter of Consent to Personal Information (Appendix I, II and III), and pro-vide both hard copies and electronic files.
2. Please provide copies of all academic degree certificates (bachelor’s and above), and academic teaching rank accreditation certificates (if any).
3. If you hold a foreign doctoral degree, please send your degree certificate (or temporary proof of graduation certificate) and academic transcripts (during the undergraduate and postgraduate years) to the Bureau of Con-
sular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) for degree verification.
4. If you do not have an assistant professor academic teaching rank accred-itation certificate from the Ministry of Education at the time of applica-tion, please provide an abstract of your doctoral thesis in Chinese or English.
5. Please provide past transcripts of under-graduated and graduated pro-grams. Those with more than three years of full-time teaching experience in public or private universities in Taiwan or associate professors/full professors are not required to attach transcripts of past years but should attach the subjects taught and course syllabus.
6. Please provide a list of academic publications from the past five years (2020–2025), including the 2024 Impact Factor, journal’s ranking in rel-evant fields, and author identification. In addition, please submit an abstract or photocopy (up to five articles) of significant academic publications.
7. Please provide one copy of a) relevant experience and b) academic expertise certification documents each.
8. Two letters of recommendation.
9. Please provide a future research plan (1–2 pages).
